Project Engineer - Public Infrastructure - Beverly, MA

Meridian Associates, Inc., an established North Shore-based firm providing civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, 3D laser scanning, and renewable energy consulting services, seeks to fill an immediate opening for a Project Engineer in our Public Infrastructure practice.

The ideal candidate is ambitious and eager to contribute immediately to the success of on-going projects in a growing organization. S/he will have experience in the planning, design, permitting, the preparation of contract documents (construction plans, details, technical specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates), construction administration, and construction observation for a wide variety of public infrastructure improvement project. The Project Engineer will support a broad variety of project types such as local roadways, sidewalks and streetscape improvements, utility systems (water, sewer and drain), parks, and recreational facilities. Site development associated with public buildings is also preferred. Experience authoring technical specifications and special provisions in MassDOT and CSI MasterFormat 2004 formats required.

We seek a candidate that has demonstrable time-management skills and someone with experience in managing the workload of project teams as well as coordinating external team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Highly proficient and hands-on in AutoCAD and AutoTURN.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to meet deadlines, and provide high quality service to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-driven and conscientious.
  • Able to work independently.

Required Experience, Education & Licensure:

  • 7+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Massachusetts Licensure in Civil Engineering - EIT acceptable but PE preferred.
