Solar Electric (Photovoltaic)
Feasibility Study

EBSCO Publishing

Data centers, which store information serving their worldwide offices, require the significant consumption of electricity to support storage, backup systems and heavy climate control equipment.

A review of potential resources available to EBSCO at the Estes Street facility was reviewed in general terms to identify assets and opportunities. The parent company EBSCO Industries approved an expenditure of $500,000 for green power investments at this location.

Utilizing a combination of technology and collaborative relationships to analyze existing electric energy consumption on the EBSCO Publishing campus, Meridian was able to develop a feasibility study for the integration of photovoltaic solar panels. This renewable energy initiative is part of an overall plan to address growing energy costs at this facility – the home office for 450 employees worldwide.
