Project Engineer | Beverly, MA

Meridian Associates, Inc., has an opening for a Project Engineer (civil) in our Beverly office. Meridian Associates is a 100% employee-owned company that provides civil engineering, land surveying, aerial and mobile LiDAR services, landscape architecture, and renewable energy design services throughout New England.

The Project Engineer is responsible for everyday project activities typical to site civil engineering projects such as drafting, grading design, effective storm-water design and underlying calculations, shop drawing checks, site visitation and project closeout. The candidate will possess civil engineering technical knowledge commensurate with her/his professional experience, and s/he will have fundamental knowledge of the project development process that might include construction, site design, site planning, site engineering, structural and MEP criteria as it relates to civil engineering.

We seek a candidate willing to wear multiple hats without being boxed into a specific set of tasks associated with a title. We seek a team player who brings integrity and curiosity to the role and someone who can thoughtfully express ideas or solutions. The candidate will possess effective time management skills, and s/he will be able to understand and articulate how her/his project component fits in with the bigger picture of the project scope.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide high quality deliverables to clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail-driven, and conscientious
  • Proficient and hands on with Civil3D 2016+
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and HydroCAD are a plus

Preferred Experience:

  • +/- 5 years of experience

Preferred Education & Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training highly desirable or the interest to pursue
  • Certification as a Massachusetts soil evaluator is a plus but not required
