Nik Sands is an expert in all the steps of LiDAR and 3D laser scanning from field data acquisition, GPS/IMU trajectory adjustment, point cloud calibration and classification to feature extraction for the purpose of preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models utilizing programs such as MicroStation, TerraSolid, Cyclone, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Navisworks. He manages LiDAR and Laser Scanning projects along with providing project management support on other large scale land survey projects. He is experienced in all disciplines within construction survey operations, from establishing initial controls, construction layout, and deformation monitoring to creating final as-built documents and reports utilizing the most sophisticated survey equipment integrated with the latest CADD technology.

Nik is a graduate of Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He lives with his wife and family on the North Shore.
