A comprehensive four-year public high school in Newton, Massachusetts, Newton North offers students a unique educational community characterized by a broad and diverse range of academic and extracurricular programs. Committed to special education and English Language Learner (ELL) programs, the school’s career and vocational education initiatives offer alternative opportunities to students not planning to attend college.

The new state-of-the-art school features an arts complex, an athletic wing with a swimming pool, and a climbing wall. Athletic fields abut two sides of the new school building. As one of the first LEED certified schools in Massachusetts, it contains many energy efficient and environmentally sustainable elements. As part of the property redevelopment, we conducted extensive land surveys to map the existing site features. Following the approval of this award-winning design, Meridian was responsible for determining the location and position of buildings, civil-related underground utilities, handicap ramps, parking, and the athletic fields.
