Sitkowski School | Senior Housing

Meridian Associates, Inc. provided site design, permitting, and construction services to Neighborhood of Affordable Housing, Inc. (NOAH) for the rehabilitation and adaptive re-use of the historic Sitkowski School into 62 affordable senior-housing units. The program included allocation for a new senior center.

This redevelopment project represented the initial step for the Town of Webster in realizing its long-term vision for affordable senior housing and a town senior center. We worked with a team of design consultants to preserve and complement the historic character of the existing building and grounds while providing the necessary site improvements and upgrades. The creation of tree-lined sidewalks and gathering spaces help facilitate safe pedestrian movement within the urban streetscape and the expanded parking facilities. Our services also included an upgrade to the adjacent Church Street municipal roadway as well as the rehabilitation and expansion of the Town Hall parking lot.
